The Foyer Façade fabricated box beam has been successfully installed by the idec rigging team at the QPAC New Performing Arts Centre in Southbank Brisbane.
This large beam measures 13.8 meters in length, 5.3 meters in width, and boasts an impressive weight of 8.817 tonnes arriving safely to site under police escort.
The complex connections and cranked shape of the beam posed a significant challenge during the installation process.
Nevertheless, the successful outcome can be attributed to the tremendous effort put forth by idec’s Design and Engineering Team, Construction, and Site Departments. Their hard work ensured a trouble-free and seamless installation.
A well-earned thanks goes out to all those involved in overcoming the complexities and challenges, contributing to the achievement of this significant milestone at the New Performing Arts Centre.
