Melbourne Metro – City Square

idec drew on over 30 years of experience in complex construction to deliver the City Square Acoustic Building in the heart of the Melbourne CBD for the new Metro Tunnel project. The building consists of a modern precast concrete exterior to suit the inner-city surroundings and offers an RW50 acoustic performance to ensure the local impact of construction noise and dust is minimised. The structure supports a 50t overhead gantry crane and enables all-weather construction of the new underground station.
