Melbourne Metro – Temporary Buildings

In addition to the widely recognisable City Square acoustic building, idec was also engaged by Cross Yarra Partnership to design, fabricate and construct a number of other structures across Melbourne including:

• Flinders Street acoustic shed which allows for around-the-clock works on the tunnel between ANZAC and Town Hall Stations.
• Arden Gantry Shed which was custom-engineered to include a double girder overhead gantry crane for TBM-related logistics.
• Deer Park Precast Manufacturing Facility – a 3830m2 portal frame structure allowing for all-weather production of precast tunnel segments.
