Helicopter Hangar

idec was engaged to design, fabricate and erect structural steel for a 2700m2 hangar at Brisbane Airport for Talbot Group Holdings.

Building works for the project included:

• A 55m (L) x 49m (W) x 10.6m (H) hangar; and
• Adjoining office, departure/arrival lounge and entry portico.

idec’s design incorporated tapered columns and rafters to improve the internal aesthetics of the building and provide the client and end user with a cost effective clear span structural solution.
