idec secures 7300m2 D&C Build in Sydney
idec solutions are pleased to have been awarded the Design and Construct of a 7300m2 Precast Building in Sydney. The structure is a purpose built facility which will be used for the manufacturing of the sky train bridge segments. These segments will form part of the Northwest Rail Link project in Sydney which is the largest public transport project and a priority infrastructure investment for the NSW Government.
The structure is 17m high and is being designed to carry up to 4 x 20 tonne over-head cranes. idec’s scope of works includes design, engineering, structural steel fabrication and cladding. The opportunity to secure this project was on the back of idec’s outstanding performance on similar D & C projects; for example, the Tunnel Boring Machine Building for the Legacy Way project in Brisbane (850T Structural Steel) and the Superway Precast Building in Adelaide (470T). With engineering and steel detailing well underway, we look forward to delivering this project to meet the client’s required time frame.
